A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new
section, designated section nine, relating to
authorizing the state election commission to
promulgate legislative rules relating to the fair
campaign practices.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section,
designated section nine, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS BOARDS AND
AGENCIES TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-9-9. State election commission.
The legislative rules filed in the state register on
the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-five, under the authority of section five,
article one-a, chapter three, of this code, modified by
the state election commission to meet the objections of
the legislative rule-making review committee and refiled
in the state register on the twenty-second day of
December, one thousand nine hundred ninety-five, relating
to the state election commission (fair campaign
practices, 146 CSR 2), are authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the
State Election Commission to promulgate legislative rules
relating to fair campaign practices.
