SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 15

reported February 9, 1995.]


Directing governmental agencies and public facilities to adhere to the law concerning free parking for disabled persons.

Whereas, Subsection (c), section six, article thirteen, chapter seventeen-c of the code of West Virginia requires free parking places for disabled persons in close proximity to all state, county and municipal buildings and other public facilities; and
Whereas, This law is not being followed; and
Whereas, Because this law is not being followed, disabled persons have numerous problems gaining access to buildings and facilities; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That subsection (c), section six, article thirteen, chapter seventeen-c of the code of West Virginia be enforced by the applicable governmental entity by providing free parking places in close proximity to its governmental buildings and public facilities; and, be it
Further Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to all state, county and municipal agencies.
