SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 16

(By Senators Oliverio, Manchin, Schoonover, Love, Ross, Sharpe, Whitlow, Kimble, Deem, Grubb, Minear, Blatnik, Walker, White, Wagner, Jackson, Miller, Dittmar, Macnaughtan, Bailey, Wooton, Bowman, Buckalew, Yoder, Anderson, Chafin, Boley and Tomblin, Mr. President)




Extending gratitude and support to the 152nd military police detachment, the 130th tactical airlift unit and all other units called to duty in "Operation Joint Endeavor" and anywhere else throughout the world.
Whereas, The 152nd military police detachment is based in Moundsville, West Virginia, and the 130th tactical airlift unit is based in Martinsburg, West Virginia; and
Whereas, Seventeen members of the 152nd military police detachment and several members of the 130th tactical airlift unit were called into federal active service by President Clinton; and
Whereas, The members are now supporting the NATO peacekeeping mission "Operation Joint Endeavor" in Europe; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby extends its gratitude and support, specifically to the 152nd military police detachment and the 130th tactical airlift unit, all the other members of the U.S. military now serving in "Operation Joint Endeavor" and all the other members of the U.S. military now serving throughout the world; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the Senate is hereby requested to forward a copy of this resolution to the 152nd military police detachment and the 130th tactical airlift unit.
