SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 31
(By Senators Plymale, Scott, Chafin, Fanning and White)
Congratulating the Ceredo-Kenova High School cheerleading squad for
winning the state Class A cheerleading championship.
Whereas, The Ceredo-Kenova High School cheerleading squad had
an outstanding season, earning it a chance to participate in the
state Class A championship competition; and
Whereas, The Ceredo-Kenova High School cheerleading squad won
the state's Class A championship, bringing a championship title to
their campus for the first time; and
Whereas, Ceredo-Kenova High School will close in June, 1998,
but will do so with the pride in knowing that their hard work and
dedication made their goal of bringing a championship win to
Ceredo-Kenova High School a reality in its final year of existence;
and
Whereas, The leadership of coaches Patti Bash, Hank Light,
Tina Burgess and Clyde May, along with the athletic ability of the
cheerleading squad members, including Allie Jones; Julie Moore;
Nikki Adkins; Jamie Bash; Heather Roberts; Heather Maynard; Christi
Arthur; Courtney Burgess; Jennifer Byard; Kristina McGlone; Ashley
White; Erin Adkins; Joylynn Marcum and Nicole Maynard helped bring
the state Class A championship win to Ceredo-Kenova High School;
therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Ceredo-Kenova High
School cheerleading squad for an outstanding season and for
bringing the state Class A championship to the campus of Ceredo- Kenova High School; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Cclerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the coaches and members of the Ceredo- Kenova High School cheerleading squad.
