SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 35

(By Senators Tomblin, Mr. President, Anderson, Bailey, Blatnik,

Boley, Bowman, Buckalew, Chafin, Craigo, Deem, Dittmar, Dugan,

Grubb, Helmick, Jackson, Kimble, Love, Macnaughtan, Manchin,

Miller, Minear, Oliverio, Plymale, Ross, Schoonover, Scott,

Sharpe, Wagner, Walker, White, Whitlow,

Wiedebusch, Wooton and Yoder)


Recognizing the dedicated public service of Larry W. Stalnaker, administrative assistant to the Clerk of the Senate and distinguished West Virginian.

Whereas, Larry W. Stalnaker was born September 23, 1940, in Morgantown, West Virginia, the son of Walker Stalnaker and Mabel (Morford) Stalnaker; and
Whereas, Larry W. Stalnaker began his public service to the Senate of West Virginia in 1966, as an attache to former Senator C. Dick Montgomery; and
Whereas, Thereafter, Larry W. Stalnaker joined the staff of the Clerk of the Senate and his service encompassed a myriad of duties and responsibilities; and
Whereas, Larry W. Stalnaker was appointed as administrative assistant to the Clerk of the Senate in 1979, and presently continues to serve in that capacity with outstanding dedication and commitment to the Senate; and
Whereas, Larry W. Stalnaker has decided to retire from public service on April 30, 1996, bringing to an end thirty years of dedication and commitment to the West Virginia Senate; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby extends its heartfelt appreciation to Larry W. Stalnaker for his many years of dedicated service to the West Virginia Senate. His commitment to the Senate, together with his knowledge and expertise in the legislative process has, over his thirty years of dedicated service, been an inspiration to those who have known and worked with him; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Larry W. Stalnaker.
