A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §64-6-4, relating
to
amending the Fire Commission rule adopting the State Fire
Code
; and limiting the exemption given to buildings used
wholly as dwelling houses for no more than two families to
those buildings only when owner-occupied.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §64-6-4, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS AND
PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-6-4. Fire commission.
The legislative rule contained in title eighty-seven, series
one, and filed in the State Register on April 26, 2006, under the authority of section five, article three, chapter twenty-nine of
this code,
relating to the Fire Commission (State Fire Code, 87
CSR 1)
is reauthorized with the following amendment:
On page one, section one, subsection 1.5, by inserting before
the word "buildings" the words "owner-occupied".
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to amend the Fire Commission
Rule adopting the Fire Code. The bill limits the exemption given to
buildings used wholly as dwelling houses for no more than two
families to those buildings only when owner-occupied.
