A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §17A-3-14a, relating
to authorization for veterans vanity registration plates for
motorcycles.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §17A-3-14a, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 3. ORIGINAL AND RENEWAL OF REGISTRATION; ISSUANCE OF
CERTIFICATES OF TITLE.
§17A-3-14a. Authorization for special veterans vanity registration
plate for motorcycles.
_______________(a) Upon appropriate application the commissioner shall issue
to any honorably discharged veteran a special registration plate
for any Class G motorcycle owned by the veteran or his or her
spouse.
_______________(b)
Each plate issued pursuant to this subdivision shall bear
any combination of letters and numbers not to exceed an amount
determined by the commissioner, and a designation "Veteran".
_______________(c) The division shall charge an annual fee of $15 for every
registration plate issued pursuant to this subdivision, which is in
addition to all other fees required by this chapter.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize issuance of
special veterans vanity registration plates for motorcycles.
