A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-7-21, relating to allowing the mandatory federal background check of registered professional nurses to be done by a name search after two sets of fingerprints are rejected as unreadable.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-7-21, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 7A. PRACTICAL NURSES.
§30-7-21. Federal background check by name search permitted if two sets of fingerprints rejected as unreadable.
A person seeking to be licensed as a registered professional nurse may have the required federal background check completed based on a name search after two sets of fingerprints have been rejected as unreadable.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit the federal background check mandated for licensing registered professional nurses to be completed based on a name search after two sets of fingerprints have been rejected as unreadable.
