A BILL to amend the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §9-9-6a, relating to
requiring a person seeking clothing voucher assistance under
the West Virginia Works Act to have five thousand dollars or
less in total assets.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §9-9-6a, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 9. WEST VIRGINIA WORKS ACT.
§9-9-6a. Eligibility for clothing voucher.
Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary or
any rule promulgated by the department of health and human resources, any person seeking eligibility for clothing voucher
assistance under the West Virginia Works Act may not qualify unless
the applicant has total assets of five thousand dollars or less,
excluding one motor vehicle.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to
require a person seeking
clothing voucher assistance under the West Virginia Works Act to
have five thousand dollars or less in total assets, excluding one
motor vehicle.
