HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 19

Requesting the Joint Committee on Government and Finance to study the feasibility of a public/private, state of the art, recycle facility.
Whereas, While there are various statutory provisions in the code of West Virginia pertaining to recycling at all levels of local, county and state government levels, it is time to review statewide recycling facilities and determine whether these facilities are sufficient to meet the stated purposes of recycling for public and private requirements.
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Joint Committee on Government and Finance study the feasibility of a public/private, state of the art, recycle facility; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Joint Committee on Government and Finance report to the Regular Session of the Legislature, 2023, on its findings, conclusions, and recommendations, together with drafts of any legislation necessary to effectuate its recommendations; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the expenses necessary to conduct this study, to prepare a report, and to draft necessary legislation be paid from legislative appropriations to the Joint Committee on Government and Finance.
