A BILL to amend and reenact §5A-3-57 of the code of West Virginia,
1931, as amended, relating to continuation of
the
division of
purchasing within the department of administration
.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §5A-3-57 of the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended,
be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 3. PURCHASING DIVISION.
§5A-3-57. Continuation of the division of purchasing.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the The division of purchasing within the department of
administration shall continue to exist, pursuant to the provisions
of article ten, chapter four of this code, until the first day of
July, two thousand four eight, unless sooner terminated, continued
or reestablished pursuant to the provisions of that article.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue
the
division
of purchasing within the department of administration
until July 1,
2008, pursuant to the West Virginia sunset law. This bill is
recommended by the joint committee on government operations.
