A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §16-2F-10, relating
to prohibiting a business or organization from performing
abortions in a public facility; and providing
penalty.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §16-2F-10, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 2F. PARENTAL NOTIFICATION OF ABORTIONS PERFORMED ON
UNEMANCIPATED MINORS.
§16-2F-10. Abortions prohibited in public facility; penalty.
A business or organization that performs abortions may not use
any public facility. Any business or organization that knowingly
uses a public facility for abortions, as determined by the applicable board of health, shall be fined not less than one
thousand dollars nor more than five thousand dollars.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit businesses or
organizations from using a public facility to perform abortions;
and providing a penalty.
