SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 27

Requesting the Department of Transportation restore the "Welcome To Wild, Wonderful West Virginia" signs on the main highways at state borders.

Whereas, The State of West Virginia hosts thousands of vacationers who arrive by automobile from other states; and
Whereas, Thousands of motorists pass through our state by automobile for business or other purposes; and
Whereas, Many present and former West Virginia citizens wistfully recall the sense of comfort and well-being they felt when seeing the signs upon returning to the state; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby requests the Department of Transportation restore the "Welcome to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia" signs on the main highways of our state at its borders with other states; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Secretary of the Department of Transportation.
