SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 22

Congratulating Jeanne Gren on her selection as West Virginia
Teacher of the Year, 2002.
Whereas, The West Virginia Teacher of the Year award honors
the most outstanding member of the teaching profession whose
talent, commitment and creativity have a profound and lasting
impact on our children and our society; and
Whereas, Jeanne Gren was selected from nine finalists and is
now nominated for National Teacher of the Year, which will be
presented at the White House; and
Whereas, Jeanne Gren has been an educator in Monongalia County
schools for 12 years and is currently a teacher at Woodburn
Elementary School. She has represented her county and school in
many worthy capacities, demonstrating her leadership and commitment
to improving her profession and improving education in West
Virginia; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates Jeanne Gren on her
selection as West Virginia Teacher of the Year, 2002; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to Jeanne Gren.
