Charleston, WV- Chairman of the West Virginia State Senate Redistricting Task Force, Senator John Unger, (D-Berkeley), announced today the times and locations of the public informational meetings being held in Mingo and Cabell Counties. “These meetings will allow the public to inform us in person about how they think their districts should be arranged,” said Chairman Unger. “We want to provide a forum for the public and local officials to express their concerns and make this process as open and transparent as possible.” The two meeting locations have been set, as follows:
Mingo County When: Wednesday, May 25, 2011 7-8:30pm Where: Williamson City Hall Council Chamber 107 East 4th Avenue Williamson, WV 25661 -Cabell County When: Saturday, June 11, 2011 4:30-6pm Where: Cabell County Courthouse Courtroom #1 750 5th Avenue Huntington, WV 25701 Specific times and locations for other public informational meetings are forthcoming and will be announced as soon as they are determined.
