Com. Sub. for H. B. 2075, To provide a means to classify when medications should be continued or stopped for patients; on second reading, coming up in regular order, was read a second time.

On motion of Delegate Summers, the bill was amended on page 2, line 46, by striking subdivision (26) in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof a new subdivision (26) to read as follows:

“(26) Regulations on prescription paper, as provided in §16-5-27 of this code which include three categories for optional use.

The first box, ‘Continue all other medications.’; The second box: "Discontinue [_____________]."  and the purpose of the medication, unless requested by the patient to leave blank. Prescriptions transmitted orally by phone shall include this same information when dictated to the pharmacy;

The bill was then ordered to engrossment and third reading.

H. B. 2309, To require the Division of Forestry to create an online renewal process no later than July 1, 2023; on second reading, coming up in regular order, was read a second time.

An amendment was recommended by the Committee on Government Organization, and adopted, on page 2, section 11, line 33, by striking out the word “July” and inserting the word “October”

On motion of Delegate Ellington, the bill was amended on page 3, section 44, after line 58, by adding a new subsection (h) and inserting the following “(h) Virtual Charter School Assessments - Virtual Charter Schools may test virtually using remote proctoring.”

Com. Sub. for H. B. 3113, Requiring high school students to complete course of study in personal finance; on second reading, coming up in regular order, was read a second time and ordered to engrossment and third reading.

Delegate Burkhammer moved to amend the bill on page 2, line 23, by inserting a new subdivision “(C) An ectopic pregnancy shall be reported in the aggregate and the information requested, in §16-5-22(a)(1) – (8) is not required.”;
